Words, words. In my mind always words.
A new hope….

Often we’re enthusiastically motivated into making something work, completely adamant to watch our efforts take flight. Time and energy, two precious resources, are invested and emotions contributed into the success of an objective. Be it relationships, be it goals and dreams—what-have-you. Though no matter how hard we try, if it isn’t in God’s agenda for our lives, that proposition will only perish in time. My mistake and my failure. I have no one to blame really but myself. Realizing you’ve been wrong on a perspective you had sold yourself on is not a lovey feeling. Im not a fan about being wrong about a person or an idea but sometimes we have no other choice than to accept the truth. It’s disappointing but disappointments are a part of life. As I’ve grown older I’ve learned to handle their rough blows, yet disappointments do not cease in being upsetting. Especially true if your heart was deeply engaged in a matter only to witness the disintegration of your aspiration.

I’ll be alright. I’ll get over it. Yes disappointments are quite common but with time and age I have learned to be hopeful. It is what I have to hold on to. Hope in God’s master plan; Hope in the days to come. I’ve had my share of griefs in life but everything has always worked it self out in time, something better has always followed. I’m giving up on something I’ve worked hard on but only because I have come to understand that something else is more important. What that “important” thing is I do not know yet, but it I will once it hits me in the face. “Life is just beginning for you,” my mother assured me the other day. We are given a new day daily, and daily we are received with a invitation to “life.” Yes this may have not worked out the way I wanted to but perhaps it was to clear the way for something greater. The newness of each day offers me a new beginning. Everything is possible, life awaits…

Perfect day to lay out on my trampoline and read. Day off from work, choir practice, church meetings, day off from EVERYTHING. Days like these don’t come ‘round too often, and with school starting up next week they won’t come around for a good while. Complete and utter peace, could you ask for anything more?

Perhaps I should start wearing this shirt more often, along with all the other 80% of my clothes I don’t wear.

Did some thrifting with my momma yesterday. People collect the darnest things, but who the dickens am I to judge how a person manages their time.

Finally using my other photo apps… You know the ones I actually paid bucks for. But oh, Instagram is just too easy sometimes.

Stacy Dupree of Eisley is just so beautiful to me. Cannot wait for the release of Sucré, her solo gig stuff in a couple months. I need good new music so she has to hurry it up or something.

Frustrated that he can’t find the harmonies to some track vocals.

The Real Deal

A real girl is of significant value and worth. She is great in the sight of the Lord.  She is of a special kind of human, a kind of human that is not very easily found these days. Her words are carried with grace and class. She keeps things real as she maintains her yes’ as yes’ and no’s as no’s. She isn’t after new trends or labels because that just simply ain’t her. Phoniness isn’t something she deems flattering; she is true to her roots and refuses to become some cheap imitation. She is an original, organic in every possible way. She is comfortable with the design God created for her. She is true to herself and true to Christ. Christ is her foundation her captain in her lifelong voyage. A true emblem of beauty is she.

External forces will come to try and shake her faith by bullying and humiliating her. They will attempt to cheat her out of her Joy, to disorient and confuse her identity. Following Christ is no longer favorable or even popular in modernized society, though a real girl stands her ground when things get heated. A real girl knows who she is and what she believes in. She couldn’t possibly sellout. Questioning the existence of God is unthinkable because he is so real to her. Her faith is in her soul, it is coded within her…it is a part of her. Her views on God are not determined on what others say about Him but rather on her personal relationship with Him. In return, her worth is based on what God thinks of her. She speaks to God frequently and gets to know Him personally. Having had unforgettable experiences with God is not enough for her; she is after fresh new experiences with her Maker. She can greatly alter her life as well as everyone else’s around her by simply praying about it every day. A real girl understands that her life won’t change unless she does so.

Life is not always clear blue skies, and walking with Jesus isn’t always so easy…but it is a privilife. Friends will come and go and seasons change, that is life after all. Life moves fast, constantly shifting and always taking on a different form…it can be quite overwhelming. A real girl knows that she can find consistency in Christ. He is the one constant through out her many lives: in her life of a babe, her life of a child, her life of a woman, and such. Because God is consistent in her life, she must also remain consistent. She seeks God when she feels like she’s on top of the world. She seeks God when the weight of the world has turned on her. She seeks God when she’s popular; she seeks God when her friends have deserted her. In the ups and in the downs, no matter the view, she blesses God at all times. Serving God requires consistency.

A real girl is a precious thing. A real girl has an expensive price attached to her name. Her elevated quality is undeniable. It isn’t easy being real, real things cost. Real things cannot be falsified or counterfeited or copied. There are high prices to pay in order to obtain authenticity. She serves a real God, a real God that creates real Love, real Friendship, real Forgiveness, real Compassion…a real God who carried out the real ultimate sacrifice. She alongside Christ produces such reality. She practices real faith, real prayers, real humility, and real sacrifice. Her life is a living sacrifice to God.

It doesn’t matter who or what you were before. Don’t live in the past. Who are you now? Realize and recognize the authenticity of what you have. Hold on to it, never let it go…never compromise it. Be genuine. Be authentic. Be real.

Well that’s just precious.

Well that’s just precious.
